Job Summary

As the Quality Auditor reporting to the Senior Product QA Engineer you’ll be a business partner to the site/entity manufacturing process managers and leadership in assuring and improving the manufacturing processes and product/service quality performance. You’ll provide Internal (1st Party) audit capability for the assessment of the manufacturing processes and products/services, ensuring process compliance, robustness and effectiveness in relation to the Customer requirements, quality needs and expectations.  To plan, host and support external (customer, regulatory and other 3rd parties) audits. You’ll be responsible to report & ensure conclusion on non-compliances, as well as highlighting improvement & best practice sharing opportunities and help drive a value added, continual improvement culture through the organisation. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate preparation for the audit criteria against the local audit plan and deliver the manufacturing process/product/system audit against objectives 
  • Create a detailed audit report with relevant supporting information and classify non-conformances, OFI’s in-line with company procedures. Identify any risks to Quality Manager 
  • Manage open non-conformances and ensure they are closed with appropriate supporting evidence  
  • Track non-conformances trends and provide analysis to the Quality Manager 
  • Support with the update of databases used within the QA department
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement process – internal – external, quality, cost, innovation, delivery and management
  • Conduct FAIR’s IAW with AS9102 where necessary
  • Provide planning and hosting of external 2nd and 3rd party audits including support to follow up activity support (e.g RCCA/NCR/OASIS) integrity management

  • Lead Auditor Certification
  • Experience gained from an Quality Auditor role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of product and system quality auditing 
  • Experience in Practical Problem Solving and Root Cause and Corrective Actions Techniques 
  • Experience of working to ISO 9001 
  • Competency with MS applications/tools



  • Aerospace industry experience including related regulations (CAA, EASA, FAA etc.)
  • Experience of APQP/PPAP (AS9145)
  • Experience of working to AS9100/AS9110
