Job Summary

The Programme Support Officer will be based at our Luton site supporting our Defence business line in this 6 month FTC role, the incumbent will report to the respective Programme Manager and support day to day programme operations. The Programme Support Officer will be responsible for the administration, planning and activities associated with control and monitoring of progress, scope and cost within the programme whilst also assisting other members within the department as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time 
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
  • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
  • Support the Programme Manager
  • Populate MS Project plan with status lines and issues

How You'll Contribute

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

Essential:

  • Significant programme support experience gained from a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of production processes
  • Experience of capacity and demand to maximise on productivity
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word


Desirable:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Manufacturing Engineering or Facilities Management
  • ISO accreditation
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience of handling programme budgets
