Job Summary

The Role:
- Provide Commercial expertise and support to specific local customer-facing team.
- Work to ensure the management and resolution of commercial issues on a day-to-day basis, such as commercial change management, plus supporting local level bids / proposals.
- Informs the IPTs (Integrated Programme Teams) of contractual obligations and boundaries.
- First point of escalation for customer purchase order or contractual issues internally and from customer.

Job Responsibilities

To interface and highlight to the IPT (Integrated Programme Team) and customers where contractual obligations and limits to obligations are.
- Supports new bidding activity when required, including the compilation of a business model and Commercial proposal.
- To manage/maintain the company order book to reflect the customer’s purchase order requirements.
- To ensure that commercial/contractual correspondence files are maintained.
- To maintain key performance metrics and contribute to internal reporting requirements.
- Supports change negotiations with Customers.
- Ensure that overdue debt is kept to a minimum and customers pay in accordance with agreed payment terms.
- Support Project / Program Review structure, reports, data etc.
- Review Customer Demand and conclude on demand changes, check against contractual conditions and update demand, as part of MPS (Master Production Schedule).
- Manage opportunities to improve the business case.
- Adheres to all Program Management and Commercial standards and policies in accordance with the GKN Aerospace Program Management framework and contribute to process development.
- Be compliant with the Company’s Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy procedures.

Job Qualifications

Attention to detail, quality, accuracy and desire for continual improvement.
- Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Willingness to accept change and adapt to new processes etc.
- Good time management and ability to work to challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Numeracy skills, familiarity with MS Excel is essential.
- Ability to organise information and tasks and to prioritise activities using appropriate tools and resources.
- Ability to work with others co-operatively and flexibly within a team to achieve a collective goal.
- Ability to give and receive written and verbal information on a timely, user-friendly, understandable manner and checks interpretation.
- Ability to identify and satisfy internal / external customer needs and works in partnership with customer.
- Having the will, energy and decisiveness to make things happen professionally and personally.
- SAP Experience desirable but not essential.
