We are seeking a forward-thinking Manufacturing Engineer to establish and optimize production processes with focus on Additive Manufacturing, welding, NDT, Machining and Inspection.  

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Qualify products and processes against Aerospace standards and Customer specifiactions.
  • Operation planning from drawing to finished part.
  • Preparation and maintenance of operation documentation.
  • Product follow-up/monitoring.
  • Assisting in daily operational production.
  • Communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Calculation and initiation of new products.
  • Proactively work on the introduction of new processes, technology, and Industry 4.0.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop "best practices" for robust solutions related to standardized machining operations.
  • Focus on Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) and quality requirements from the aerospace standard AS9100, including the implementation of ZDM tools from the APQP model.
  • Prioritize Safety & Quality above all.
  • Extensive use of database-supported systems for operation planning, modeling, and CNC programming is applied.
     

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferably a combination of a trade certificate and higher education – 3-5 years within the fields of mechanical/Material/system engineering/workshop technology/mechatronics.
  • Ideally, 3-5 years of practical experience from a manufacturing company. 
  • Experience with Additive Manufacturing.
  • Experience in project work and project management.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably TeamCenter (TCM) and SAP.
  • Familiarity with measurement techniques and drawing req. interpretation.
  • Familiarity with Quality work and experience in:
    • Root cause analysis
    • Practical problem solving
    • Statistical process control
    • Risk management, PFMEA
    • Lean work
  • Knowledge and experience in material technology.
  • Excellent language skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work structured, independently, and across disciplines.
