Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen to join a global aerospace engineering business on a 12M FTC at our transparencies site in the Midlands to help support a business transformation project in identifying improvements to production processes. The one-year role will be site-based but may offer some the opportunity to be involved with a wider transformation project. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploying process improvement tools such as Six Sigma to solve complex problems within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Practically lead and support the implementation of solutions
  • Coach and support the manufacturing sites to sustain and further improve on problem solutions
  • Coach and develop engineers, technicians, operational leaders etc... in process improvement tools such as Six Sigma and associated methodology
  • Network with other Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma practitioners within the Aerospace division for best practice and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Skills - Essential

  • Bachelor or Master level degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to a Lean Operating Model/business system
  • Six Sigma Black Belt level certification by a recognised body or company


  • Multi-site Six Sigma Programme management
  • Experience in aeronautical structures assemblies
