Job Summary

The Process Technician plays a role in ensuring operational efficiency and quality control in the repair and maintenance processes. This position involves troubleshooting and optimizing production processes, performing hands-on technical work, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safely and effectively delivering high-quality result.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing schedule maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repair on machinery and equipments
  • Evaluates parts identifying areas requiring removal or rework to maintain customer specifications by using measuring tools.
  • Maintain record of maintenance activity, repair, and equipment performance
  • Checks all work to assure that quality standards are maintained and has adhered to all specifications and procedures involving internal and customer practices.
  • Participating in continuous improvement (Kaizen activity)
  • Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards.
  • Contribute to their team in creating a "Great Place to Work" by role-modelling safety-first and supporting their colleagues
  • Adhering to safety protocol and follow all GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
  • Support the team and TL in problem solving, contributing ideas based upon own experience of their tasks
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirement and Export Control regulations
  • Performs daily preventative maintenance of equipment in adherence with a predefined schedule.
  • Collecting data from blueprints, plans, work orders and other source material
  • Entering instructions into the CNC equipment
  • Setting up the CNC equipment with the correct attachments and parts to perform the job
  • Operating and monitoring the machines
  • Troubleshooting issues with the machine programming
  • Develop an CNC program for the new processes if needed.
  • Assist on other task and activities as instructed by Team or Group Leader.

Job Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (Diploma or Professional Certificate) with background in engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical,).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in CNC process
  • Familiarity with aviation industry standards and regulations
  • Knowledge in CR7 rating and ATA 72.
  • Familiar with composites processes. Knowledge in composite machining will be an advantage.
