Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you are accountable to maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Exemplifying a safety-first mind set and ensuring compliance to the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
- Responsible to ensure all machines and equipment are in good running condition and ready for production use.
- Daily support to Operation for machine or equipment break down.
- Responsible to ensure that TPM is conducted (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly etc) for facilities and machine equipment.
- Perform training for daily and weekly TPM for all the machines and equipment to production technicians.
- Responsible to ensure that spare parts and consumables of the machines and equipment are available to prevent any long break down.
- Perform a multi-disciplined technical tasks to deliver incremental improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Deliver Facilities & Maintenance savings in line with year on year conversion cost targets.
- Maintain and record equipment data and history records to predict maintenance machine.
- Perform electrical related tasks in order to comply with Malaysia Power Grid Department of Malaysia known as Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)’s requirements such as electrical servicing, electrical calibration and regulator checking on the incoming building power supply for licensing renewal.
- Register as competent person for Low voltage with Suruhanjaya Tenaga
- Perform energy saving activity once facility in steady state and operational mode.
Job Qualifications
- A high school Diploma or equivalent qualification is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the related processes is required.
- Able to read and write in English
- Familiar with facility maintenance industry standards and best practices
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem solving skills.
- Knowledge in SAP is an added advantages.
- Experience in a similar role within the aviation industry, preferably in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Valid forklift license
- Register as competent person for High Voltage with Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an added advantages
