Job Summary

 

The role is responsible for assisting in creating an supplier audit program and synchronizing the risk evaluation and need of supplier audit cross sites. The Supplier Lead Auditor role is responsible for effective planning, lead (either singular or as part of a team), and administration of Supplier Audits (production process, system, product and special process) as assigned by the sites with the requested audit scope and against relevant Regulatory Requirements, Industry Standards, Customer and GKN Aerospace requirements. The role is responsible for communicate the audit report to the related GKN certified system and follow up the audit findings with the supplier in close cooperation with the site/-s
The role is responsible for sustaining  and developing the audit process and related tools/checklists as well as identifying training needs at the sites

Job Responsibilities

 

•    Assist GKN sites, as needed, with supplier audit planning for the development of the audit objectives, the purpose and significance of the audit scope and criteria, utilizing risk based assessment techniques, resourcing the audit, auditor and team competency and the selection of team members, particularly with regard to knowledge of the relevant requirements and product/process
•    Prepare and perform the supplier audit on request of the site in close corporation with affected site/-s including preparing the audit plan, conducting on-site audit activities (either singular or as a part of a team) at the supplier, preparing working documents, conducting audit meetings, gathering audit evidence, preparing and approving and distributing the audit report and conducting the audit follow up.
•    Evaluate the audit evidence, non-conformities recommendations / opportunities for improvements and for the communication of subsequent recommendations, including risk identification to the Site/-s Procurement Manager and Quality manager
•    Assisting in coordinating audits at suppliers shared by several sites across the BLs
•    Use  appropriate audit techniques, tools and structures aligned with industry standard and best practice
•    Identify and share across the business, best practices and support continuous improvement of the Supplier Audit management and its processes.
•    Support the development of audit skills and tools at the sites
•    Monitor, in collaboration with  Site Quality manager and Procurement,  the sites supplier audit programs and surveillance activities
•    Perform Supplier Release agent authorizations as needed

Job Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:


•    5+ years of experience with ISO 19011 standard and its applications. 
•    5+ years of experience with domain knowledge of Aviation Regulators (EASA, FAA etc) & contracted customer quality requirements.
•    5+ years of using of risk based methods and techniques (ISO 31000) for audit planning and management
•    5+ years of experience with AS/EN9100 / ISO 9001 and IAQG SLA Frameworks and experience of Quality Management Systems/Process Approach. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:


•    GKN Experience
•    Experience in AS9145 APQP/PPAP
•    Experience in the use of the IAQG OASIS database for the input to audit planning.
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Aerospace Lead Auditor training with documented content and examination
