Job Summary

To develop and grow a learning organization where continuous learning is a way of life for everyone at GKN Aerospace, where we capture and share our knowledge and invest in our people to ensure everyone has the right skills and competencies.  To ensure there is access to learning and development (L&D) for everyone to help them perform at their best in their current role and then prepare for their future role.

Job Responsibilities

  • To help analyze and understand L&D needs through different perspectives (e.g. at organizational, team and individual levels; and for our functions) and to recommend/deliver company-wide learning activities for specific needs for the business line.

  • To work in partnership with internal stakeholders (such as operational, functional and the global L&D Team) to shape the agenda; and create, deploy, deliver and manage an L&D curriculum and programs for all employees within the business line.

  • Global collaboration with L&D Partners in the UK and the Netherlands.  Travel to these locations would also be expected.

  • To manage/oversee the co-ordination of business line led leadership and development programs.

  • To be an active member of the Talent and Engagement community to support ensure effective roll out of tools and resources

  • To promote a positive and supportive work environment and culture by developing and evolving programs to improve employee engagement

  • To champion the Gallup Strengths Finder tool and challenge our leaders to leverage strengths of their teams and individuals

  • To develop learning activities aligned with our functional competencies, and company-wide operational skills needs.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in HR or related fields OR equivalent HR/L&D work experience

  • Additional 3 years of experience in designing and delivering learning curriculum and programs for a global audience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in assessment/development programs.

  • Analytical with a comprehensive understanding of the process of evaluation of L&D activity, including return on investment.

  • Capable of leading from the front of setting L&D standards for our business line.

  • Credible and engaging, able to form strong relationships with leaders, senior managers and experts across the organization.

  • Able to network and influence people across the organization with strong consultative and facilitation skills, and problem solving skills.

  • Adaptable and resilient as the role operates in a changing environment with a high work volume.

  • L&D Certification:  CIPD
