Job Summary

The Mobility Manager shall implementation and execute the global standards on Mobility within GKN Aerospace as set by an in cooperation with the Center of Excellence on Global Mobility.

The Mobility Managers reports into the Regional (S)VP HR or the Regional Reward Director.

Job Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy

This role includes tactical management and practical execution of the Global HR Mobility strategy.

Regional Strategy

Implement and execute the Mobility strategy and processes (including business travellers) regionally and run improvements programs.

Work with the global vendors, participate in vendor evaluations in cooperation with the Global Mobility Director and/or the Regional Reward Directors. Keep the (S)VP HR of each region periodically updated on recent developments.

Follow the Global Mobility Handbook and ensure processing accordingly.

Provide training and support to regional stakeholders including HR and the Finance department.

Manage all processes with a continuous focus on employee (travel) safety, well-being, a great place to work culture and a healthy workforce by leading the way in living the Cultural Principles.

Assure that all programs, policies and procedures comply with local regional legislation of the home and the host countries of the assignees and/or business travellers.

Provide Mobility support to the Regional managers, act as a sparring partner and point of escalation on mobility issues including expatriate assignment management, immigration, domestic and international employee relocation, tax and (international) pay rolling.


Use the prescribed systems and processes to store and process relevant mobility data in a data privacy safe environment, in line with regional (labour) laws and regulations.


Main point of contact for accountants on mobility related regional (audit) processes.

Contract management

Manage the performance of local vendors in line with the contractually agreed conditions.

Metrics and Analytics

Deliver business critical metrics and analytics to internal / external stakeholders within the region.


Manage the budget for mobility activities and ensure timely and compliant processing of regional vendors’ invoices.

Advise and Consultation

First point of contact to all regional HR and or managers. Proactively act as an advisor for all relevant stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant Global Mobility experience with a multinational corporation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of globally mobile employee considerations, including tax, immigration and payroll.
  • Strong diplomatic and empathetic skills as well as excellent relationship development and customer service skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal/external, international/domestic contacts.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Having worked in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams in an international setting.
  • Understanding of relevant technology, trends and best practices currently affecting Mobility and immigration
  • Self-driven, innovative, creative, good problem solver, and passionate about customer/client success with a proven track record
  • Strategic and consultative with advanced interpersonal, project and vendor management skills
