Job Summary

Regional Quality assurance role that operates singularly or within a team to audit GKN Aerospace Regional 2nd party / Site 1st party audits of Business Management Systems (BMS)/Quality Management Systems (QMS) & processes, against Regulatory Requirements, Industry Standards, Customer and GKN Aerospace requirements.

Job Responsibilities

•    Assist the BMS/QMS Manager in the development and delivery of audit activities that support the respective audit plans and schedules.
•    Participate in audit engagement planning, scoping, and follow-up activities.
•    Assist with audit planning for the development of the audit objectives, the purpose and significance of the audit scope and criteria, utilising risk based assessment techniques, resourcing the auditing process.
•    For conduct of audits, delivering the objectives of the audit and including preparing the audit plan, conducting on-site audit activities, including preparing working documents, conducting audit meetings, gathering audit evidence, preparing and approving and distributing the audit report and conducting the audit follow up.
•    The selection of the appropriate audit tools and sampling techniques. 
•    Supporting the BMS/QMS Manager in the assessment and maintenance of all associated BMS/QMS regulatory requirements and standards, ensuring that updates are adopted within the BMS/QMS and assessment of any additional audit requirements derived from such changes.    
•    Identify and share across the organization, best practices and support continuous improvement of the BMS/QMS and its processes.
•    Propagate Quality Culture within the organization.
•    Produce for the evaluation of the audit evidence, non-conformities recommendations / opportunities for improvement and for the communication of subsequent recommendations, including risk identification to BMS/QMS Manager. 
•    Support the root cause and corrective action activities.
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Continuous improvement foundation training or equivalent training
  • Industry experience within a Manufacturing environment (APQP) preferably aerospace/automotive.
  • Thorough understanding of the content and application of the IAQG / EAQG ISO Standards and IAQG SCMH.
  • Experience in the use of the IAQG OASIS database for the input to audit planning.
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management and the APQC Process Classification Framework.
