The site of GKN Aerospace Fokker in Hoogerheide is a dynamic environment with ample development opportunities. We work hybrid, with an average of two days in the office and three days remotely. This can vary according to your wishes. Our site in Hoogerheide will move and be integrated into the site in Papendrecht by the end of 2023

Job Summary

As a Developer you are responsible for designing, programming, testing and maintaining High Level Control software. This software implements business logic in material handling systems and forms the part of our systems that interact with the users. You take the lead in designing, programming and testing the software based on a design concept and a set of requirements. In some cases, you will have to personally formulate these requirements together with the (end) users and/or internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

•    Participating in software and system and functional design
•    Creating detailed application designs and implement these in code
•    Supporting testing and integration of Software Components
•    Analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing internally and externally encountered problems and requested changes
•    Being a committed team player
•    Providing support within the team and to outside stakeholders
•    Ensuring continuous improvement through knowledge sharing within the team as well as outside the team, and applying lessons-learnt.

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent level gained through experience
•    Oracle 19c, Toad and SQL Developer, SQL Developer Datamodeler, PL/SQL
•    XML/XSD and SQL
•    Oracle forms, Oracle reports and Oracle Designer is an advantage
•    Java and Python programming experience is an advantage
•    Requirements management, change management, version control and test management tools
•    Knowledge of Oracle Performance tuning is an advantage
•    A very good command of the English and Dutch language is necessary
