Fokker Landing Gear is looking for an enthusiastic site supply chain manager to lead all its supply chain activities and support the supply chain team in the lean transition. You develop and continuously improve material and information flow processes and efficient utilization of available capacities and resources using Lean methodologies. Main goals are to fully meet customer demand (DSA), enhance material flow and optimise total inventory. You report directly to the site director.

The grade of this role is O (CLA).

Job Responsibilities


The Site Supply Chain Manager is responsible for a team of several planners, master planner, logistical experts and the teamlead for material handling and warehousing. You are responsible for all supply chain activities; planning, shopfloor planning, material handling and warehousing. Key responsibilities are:


  • Deploy, manage, monitor and improve planning processes (SIOP, MPS) within the site to:
    • best capture and communicate customer demand
    • ensure the effective use of available internal capacity/resources
    • synchronise external resources
    • actively promote participation of all functions in these processes

Further Responsibilities


  • Ensure inputs to the planning processes are regularly reviewed and monitored for accuracy, using a defined business process, and corrected accordingly (e.g. inventory accuracy, routings, BOM, shop floor order control and other master data).
  • Ensure movement of materials on time and in full at all points in the process in line with agreed plans.
  • Ensure control and storage of inventory in line with lean principles (e.g. visible FIFO and supermarket pull systems, Kanban loops).
  • Continuously develop external materials logistic network to achieve lowest cost movement of materials into and out of plants.
  • Ensure appropriate supply chain metric targets are achieved (e.g. customer DSA, inventory turns, freight cost).
  • Contribute to the longer-term strategy (3 to 5 year plan) for the site(s) from a Supply Chain perspective.
  • Develop and deploy supply chain CI plan and projects to achieve business plan.

Qualification and skills


  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering, supply chain, business); preferably with certification such as APICS CPIM.
  • Expert level for Master Data Management, Inventory Management,  Internal Flows and Warehousing, Performance Monitoring.
  • You have a good knowledge of  Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership.
  • You have experience in a low volume high complexity (job shop) industrial environment.
  • You have preferably aerospace supply chain experience or a passion for it.
  • You are a leader, coach and mentor for your team members.
  • You have a positive mind-set, down to earth mentality and are able to connect with people across all company levels.
  • You have a good knowledge of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership.
  • You speak fluently Dutch and English
