Manufacturing Engineer - Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul

Vacancy


A position has become vacant within our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) department for an enthusiastic and experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Part-145 Engineering). We are looking for a new colleague with passion for and experience in Aviation and/or the Aerospace Industry. Within this position, you are part of a dedicated MRO Manufacturing Engineering team and the first Point of Contact for complex Technical Issues on the shop floor.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • You are the Point of Contact for technical issues in both the MRO shop floor and production area (incl. Vendors). Acts proactively as a troubleshooter and resolves issues quickly.
  • Responsible for the preparation and managing of MRO process routings.
  • Take the lead in consulting other disciplines (e.g. Process Engineering, Quality, Production Operators and Procurement) when solving technical query’s or development of Repair Designs.
  • Create Repair Designs or Salvage Proposals towards Design Authority Organizations/OEMs/Customers.
  • In consult with technicians and operators, innovate, develop, improve and implement tooling and equipment for process optimization.
  • Introduce and set-up new MRO Programs to our capability list.
  • Implement changes and improvement projects in repair processes.
  • Advice and coach mechanics and technicians by providing on the job training and support.
  • Investigate product deviations and handle them.
  • Take initiatives with regard to optimizing the general performance.
  • You consciously deal with Safety and Quality within your own function, the department and the company.

Your Profile


 

  • Technical Bachelor, preferably in Aviation (Engineering) or Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably in Aerospace MRO (Engineering)
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and Aviation Legislation models (e.g. AS9110, EASA/EMAR-145)
  • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
  • Analytical, innovative and problem-solving ability
  • Work effectively and efficiently
  • Work concurrently on multiple priorities
  • Working independently and with initiative, but also in a team
  • Working knowledge of LEAN processes and practices
  • Experience with ERP systems
