We are seeking a Technical Machine Procurement Specialist to join GKN Aerospace and play a key role in equipping a high-tech workshop for investment casting.

In this position, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of machine investments and installations, ensuring that equipment meets operational, quality, and performance requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and external suppliers to deliver state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities that support advanced aerospace production.

Job Responsibilities

As a Technical Machine Procurement Specialist, your main responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Managing end-to-end procurement processes, from specification and supplier selection to final installation
Ensuring all procurement activities are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines
Acting as the technical resource for machine investments, including defining requirements and evaluating technical solutions together with our process engineers
Coordinating and managing external suppliers, contractors, and installation teams
Overseeing machine installation, commissioning, and handover to production
Monitoring project progress and mitigating risks to ensure successful delivery
Collaborating with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, quality) to align equipment capabilities with operational needs
Drivin continuous improvement in procurement and installation processes

Job Qualifications

We are looking for someone with 

Degree in engineering or a related technical field substantial experience
Proven experience in machine procurement, industrial equipment investment, or similar roles
Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience managing budgets, timelines, and supplier relationsships
Familiarity with project management methodologies
