Quality Engineering Internship, Digital Product Definition

Project Overview

This 12-month internship offers an exciting hands-on opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in supporting our efforts to acquire Boeing’s Digital Product Definition (DPD) certification. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain valuable insights into digital dimensional inspection processes, quality assurance requirements, and aerospace standards.

Main Project Deliverables

  • Assist in the documentation, review, and analysis of processes related to Digital Product Definition compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal team and customer representatives to ensure requirements are met for Boeing DPD certification.
  • Prepare and organize reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for certification reviews.
  • Support the development and implementation of corrective actions to address any discrepancies identified during the certification process.

Learning Outcomes

  • Real-world experience auditing and updating critical facilities infrastructure documentation.
  • Practical exposure to Quality Engineering standards, QMS, and TipQA Quality Engineering Software.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication with engineering, safety, and operations stakeholders.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing QMS and the quality engineering lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Currently holds 3.0 GPA or hire.
  • Available to work 30+ hours per week.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of handling large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
  • US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of QMS principles and aerospace industry standards is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment 
  • Exposure to infrastructure or facilities-related projects.
  • Experience with QMS or ERP software is a plus

Compensation Data

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
