Project Title
Tool Ownership and Inspection Records Quality Internship
Project Overview
This 12-month internship offers an exciting hands-on opportunity for a meticulous and motivated Quality Intern to support our team in identifying and properly documenting tool ownership and tool inspection records. This role will provide experience in aerospace quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance while allowing you to collaborate with experienced professionals in the field.

Main Project Deliverables
- Conduct a comprehensive review of current tool ownership and inspection documentation to identify gaps or inaccuracies.
- Work closely with quality, tooling, contracts, and customer teams to verify tool ownership and inspection status.
- Assist in creating and maintaining accurate records for tool ownership, calibration, and inspection schedules.
- Support the development of processes to streamline tool tracking and documentation systems.
- Participate in the deployment and implementation of new computerized tracking systems, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard software solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and summaries for internal and customer reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to company standards and aerospace industry requirements.
Learning Outcomes
- Real-world experience auditing and updating critical facilities infrastructure documentation.
- Practical exposure to Quality Engineering standards, QMS, and TipQA Quality Engineering Software.
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication with engineering, safety, and operations stakeholders.
- Foundational understanding of manufacturing QMS and the quality engineering lifecycle management.
Job Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
- Currently holds 3.0 GPA or hire.
- Available to work 30+ hours per week.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of handling large datasets.
- Ability to be on your feet for most of the day.
- Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day in the course of job duties.
- Capability to bend, stoop, and take pictures as required.
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds as part of routine responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
- US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100) is preferred.
- Foundational understanding of QMS principles and aerospace industry standards is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Exposure to infrastructure or facilities-related projects.
- Experience with QMS or ERP software is a plus
Compensation Data
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
