Job Summary

Responsible for management of PLM/CAD Systems & Databases for GKN Aerospace.  This individual will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of GKN Aerospace’s Information Technology capability. This position supports all PLM users, conducts ongoing training, and helps facilitate PLM tasks across functional departments. The position will be the point person between Information Technology and the other key system stakeholders to ensure proper integration.
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Manage the PLM & CAD systems & databases
•    Primary CAD system is Siemens NX, others include Catia V5, AutoCad, SolidWorks
•    PDM system is Siemens Teamcenter
•    Manage licenses for all PLM/CAD software and modules
•    Provide monthly system status reports to GKN Management
•    Prepare and manage PLM & CAD administration annual budget
•    Translate IGES, Step, dxf, and native CATIA data to various formats
•    Support the technical design and development of the integration between PLM solutions and boundary systems.
•    Perform root cause analysis debugging problems with the PLM environment and work to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
•    Support PLM users (current and new) with training, troubleshooting, enhancements, and developing user guides.

Required Qualifications:
•    A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline is required OR 8 or more years’ work experience in delivering PLM and related solutions
•    5 or more years’ work experience in delivering PLM and related solutions
•    3 or more years managing and implementing Teamcenter and CAD systems. 
•    Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    GKN experience
•    Strong data management and analytical skills.
•    Oracle database experience is preferred. 
•    Demonstrated leadership skills & the ability to work with others as a participative team player
•    Good written and verbal communication skills
•    Solid understanding of Windows and network administration
•    Knowledge of engineering configuration management & documentation systems, as well as the requirements of industry related standards
•    Siemens, NX, CATIA, AutoCad 2000, SolidWorks experience
