Job Summary


The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all production processes and ensuring that all documentation is effective to maintain high yields and low scrap.  Responsible to implement corrective actions to ensure all value stream metrics are being met.  Engineer will be responsible for dispositioning all tags in the designated area of responsibility and providing corrective actions to ensure the defects are not repeated.

Job Responsibilities


  • Responsible for manufacturing process improvement and implementation in order to reduce product defects and/or increase product throughput
  • Troubleshooting and refinement of manufacturing processes
  • Support tooling redesign and upgrades.
  • Create standard work and daily TPM procedures
  • Support and accept new products from Development Engineering group
  • Identifying non-conformance causes and implementing strong corrective actions
  • Coordinating several process improvement, cost reduction and/or defect reduction projects.  This includes using Lean Manufacturing techniques as well as Process Validation, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma
  • Problem Solving skills to address manufacturing and quality issues
  • Planning, design, and implementation of tooling to support manufacturing processes
  • Document work instructions for operators and support training
  • Disposition non-conforming material


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
  • 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer, including root cause and corrective actions.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements. 


Preferred Qualifications:


  • GKN experience
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to organize and implement multiple concurrent tasks
  • Experience in statistical analysis
  • Experience in Six Sigma principles
  • Material properties and material processing of acrylic background.
