Job Summary
The Lear Bus Bar Trainer will provide 'hands off' training/instruction of the Lear 45 glass soldering process, and collaborate with the engineering team to update and document the job steps via RWI's.
Work Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8:00am - 12:30pm
Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to GKN Environmental, Health and Safety (PPE) policies at all times.
- Report all unsafe conditions to Team Leader
- Review work orders job step instructions to verify accuracy and completeness detailing process and quality requirements for product.
- Review tooling requirements (e.g. fixtures, templates) called out or missing on Work Order job step instructions. Verify tooling is in safe working order and functioning according to design.
- Consult with area Team Leader and/or Manufacturing Engineer of any discrepancies.
- Inform Team Leader of perishable cutting tools and power tools required for purchase.
- Instruct designated employee/trainee on safe use of all tools and explain risks to personal safety and/or damage to material.
- Explain and demonstrate proper technique in use of tools and fixtures.
- Assist designated employee/trainee with documenting notes and sharing all “tribal knowledge”.
- Identify and explain use of all “shop aids” required to perform work on a transparency.
- Understands that only designated employee/trainee performs production work.
- Demonstrating proper technique while using tools on production parts is allowable if intended to help trainee gain a better understanding of work performed.
- Document job steps with Engineering via RWI or other method
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- US Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- GKN experience preferred
Compensation Data
The compensation for this position is:
$35.00/hour
