Job Summary

Tech-savvy help desk technician responsible for providing technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software; responding to email, chat, or phone queries and offering technical support to customers using computer systems, hardware, and software. Well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance.  Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT help desk requests and/or employee phone calls, document resolution.
  • Setup, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware and peripherals.
  • Maintain asset inventory of workstation hardware.
  • Support and maintain user account information including permissions, security and distribution groups.
  • Perform Active Directory and AS400 user account updates.
  • Perform workstation moves/change requests.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues related to the computer network and Telecom infrastructure.
  • Assist with responses to telecom help desks requests.
  • Create/update posts in department knowledgebase.
  • Microsoft Office: Manage email accounts and mailbox permissions, assign licensing.
  • Printer and scanner setup and configuration, light troubleshooting.
  • Training computer users.
  • Training other staff on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
  • Gaining feedback from customers to improve training methods.
  • Writing and editing training documentation.
  • Running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience working with computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
