Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting all phases of complex materials and parts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs inspection of incoming raw materials, parts and documentation to complex engineering or functional standard documentation.  
  • Sets up inspection procedures and material for inspection.  
  • Inspects parts in production including first article production, in process, final inspection and customer returns.  
  • Reviews customer returned goods and processes parts in accordance with GKN procedures.  



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 year quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing 
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand the use of precision measuring instruments and the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to manufacturing environment.
  • Must comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.


Preferred Requirements

  • Must be able to read complex blueprints and perform basic measurements.
  • Must be able to write clear and concise reports and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have good vision and ability to perform frequent heavy lifting.
  • Basic knowledge of company MRP computer system (ASI)
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.


Applicant Requirements

  • All candidates will be required to complete a General Inspector written test and a vision test.
  • The selected candidate will be required to pass a Pre-Employment drug screening for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and/or amphetamines for this FAA position.
