Job Summary

The Government Contracts Support Officer will participate in proposal preparation, pricing, contract negotiation, and order administration. The Government Contracts Support Officer is responsible for direct customer communication and coordination of all customer service activities in the contract acquisition, execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately and completely examine estimates of material, labor and non-recurring charges to ensure alignment with customers request for quote.
  • Prepare quotations, process orders, perform order administration, order invoicing, assist with cash collection on aged debt and maintain price lists.
  • Monitor customer performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure achievement of site metrics.
  • Applicant will assist with the preparation, development and negotiation of contractual documents.
  • Applicant will be expected to compile and analyze data, conduct status meetings, attend departmental and site meetings and maintain historical account information including contract history.
  • Frequent contact with customers, management and/or government representatives.
  • Support the company’s commitment to maintain a safety workplace and protect the environment.
  • Fully comply with all company policies. Some travel (approximately 5%) as required.
     

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor Degree Business Administration or related fields of study
  • 1 year of experience working with US government contracts (i.e. FAR/DFAR)
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • ITAR/EAR experience
  • FAR/DFAR Government Contracting experience

Compensation Data

The compensation range for this position is:

$64,035 - $80,044
