Job Summary


The technology project manager will be responsible for carrying out duties at the parts repair engineering organization, including but not limited to repair method development, technology planning and execution, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. 

The position will report directly to the Director of Engineering & Technology at Parts Repair and collaborate with external and internal resources in technology, design engineering, purchasing, customers, airlines etc.

Job Responsibilities


•    Lead repair method development projects
o    Collect and describe component design requirements as well as qualification logic
o    Develop and demonstrate repair method qualification logic
o    Develop repair process which restores component to serviceable condition
o    Work with OEM engineering organization and authorities to qualify repair for use in the field
•    Manage Parts Repair technology plan
o    Responsible for developing parts repair technology development plan
o    Specify parts repair technology projects and follow up on progress (Both internal & external) 
o    Research/evaluate new materials, methods, processes and companies that can be used in parts repair 
•    Support BD activities and engage with customer engineering when needed
o    Hollow fan blade repair project
o    GKN-GE JTDP blisk project
o    P&W/USAF F135 IBR repair project
•    Understand market needs for repairs by engaging with OEM´s, airlines, users etc.

Job Qualifications


Required Qualifications:


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
•    1-3 years of project management experience
•    Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:


•    GKN Experience
•    Good understanding of GKN AM technologies
•    Basic knowledge of MRO is a plus
•    Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills 
•    Leadership skills
•    History of progressive responsibility a plus 
•    Experience with CAD programs a plus
•    Experience with DER-logic and standards is a plus
•    Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
