Job Summary

The HR Generalist is a key member of the site HR team providing support to the HR Director and HR Business Partners with all HR-related tasks to ensure the HR department runs smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the business. 

Acting as the main point of contact for general HR related questions the HR Generalist will be responsible for employee onboarding and off-boarding, coordination of training & development, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and maintaining employee records. 

Job Responsibilities

Recruitment/New Hire Process

  • Act as the main point of contact for employee data collection and processing of relevant candidate/new hire information;
  • Work with HRIS Business Partner on preparation and maintenance of employee files; conducting onboarding activities, and acting as a local point of contact for all new employee questions;
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct all new hire orientation activities.
  • Assist managers with organizing training and development initiatives.

 

Administration

  • Responsible for maintaining employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Administration and coordination of local awards processes including long service and retirement awards
  • Creation of Amelia tickets to request HRIS data input or request Wilbur HR support for example, employee password resets.
  • Responding to requests for HR information such as EDD letters, EHS data requests, reports for managers, etc.
  • Maintenance of all HR related trackers

 

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process in coordination with the NA Rewards Team.

 

Compliance

  • Process I-9s in Wilbur and complete EVerify process within specified timeframes to maintain compliance with government requirements
  • Coordinate the timely completion of all mandatory training to include Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and compliance related training within Wilbur.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies

 

General

  • Assist HR department with projects and initiatives as required.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-time administrative or human resources experience involving daily interaction with employees and managers
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • HR process knowledge experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate problems simply and effectively.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to effectively work autonomously with the support of the site HR leadership team
