Job Summary

 

The Site Financial Controller independently performs assigned accounting functions requiring the application of accounting principles and practices for GKN Aerospace.
 

Job Responsibilities

 

•    Establishes and coordinates the implementation of accounting control procedures
•    Key enabler of the annual budget and longer term strategic plans
•    Ensures integrity and accuracy within the process
•    Supervises a team of 3-4 direct reports and manages all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
•    Executes monthly financial forecasts based on internal review(s) between Operations and Business Lines
•    Prepare and deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, corporate reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.
•    Facilitates physical inventory count and controls along with final reconciliation process
•    Leads preparation for RU(s) internal and external audits with presentations, obtaining documentation and supporting technical accounting matters
•    Financial tracking of site(s) conversion cost, cash, and inventory reconciliation
•    Lead driver on data analytics supporting throughput accounting, production cell analysis, hourly rates, all while teaming with internal functions to identify business opportunities
•    Internal & external reporting requirements, including business analytics platforms.
•    Provide guidance on standard pricing system management and corresponding variance analysis
•    Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the company’s goals and objectives
 

Job Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:


•    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA/CMA preferred
•    10+ years of financial experience in roles of increasing responsibility
•    5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, Aerospace preferred
•    5 years of experience managing direct or indirect reports.
•    Must be a US Person per program requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

•    Previous experience with government contract accounting is strongly preferred
•    Understanding of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and all related legislation and regulation, including both cost and general accounting disciplines
•    Strong soft and interpersonal skills
•    Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint

Compensation Range

The targeted salary range for this position is $139,520 - $174,400.
