Job Summary

The Material Handler - 2nd Shift is responsible for following standard material handling procedures including receiving, shipping, and warehousing activities while ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role involves using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, tow trains, and electric pallet jacks to move materials efficiently. The position also requires recording material movements in transactional record systems, including receipts and bookings, while continuously identifying and proposing improvements to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Job Responsibilities

•             Manage inbound material flow and monitor inbound delivery performance.

•             Receive, inspect and store inbound deliveries.

•             Prepare package and shipment,

•             Perform reverse logistics, and salvage activities.

•             Locate stock and prepare stock for movement.

•             Maintain inventory status.

•             Perform physical inventory procedures.

•             Will be working with recyclable material: moving bins, bailing boxes, breaking down plastics and other duties

•             Will be working on scrap metal materials: Cutting metal with torches and other tools, separating the metals pieces, and organizing waste bins

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

•             High School Diploma or GED equivalent

•             2+ years of experience in a manufacturing / warehouse environment

•             2+ years of forklifting experience

•             Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements

•             Working hours will be from 3:15 to 11:45

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $19.38 - $20.70
