Job Summary
Owns the development and execution of the MRO shop schedule to optimize flow, WIP, and capacity while meeting customer TAT and delivery commitments. Drives alignment across Operations, Supply Chain, and Program teams to proactively manage constraints and ensure schedule adherence.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage shop schedules to meet customer delivery commitments and TAT targets across the full planning horizon.
- Balance workload, WIP, and shop capacity across all repair operations (inspection, NDT, machining, coating, etc.).
- Build and maintain a feasible Master Schedule aligned with:
- Available labor, skills, and equipment capacity
- Supplier/subcontractor constraints
- Planned downtime and working calendar
- Dynamic repair scope and in-process findings
- Actively manage priorities and reschedule past-due work to protect TAT and on-time delivery.
- Provide input to MRP and material planning to ensure availability of repair materials, replacement parts, and outside processing.
- Monitor execution vs. plan, identify bottlenecks and flow constraints, and drive corrective actions with Operations.
- Escalate TAT risks proactively (capacity, supplier delays, scope growth) and implement mitigation plans.
- Partner with Program/Customer teams to communicate delivery status, risks, and recovery actions.
- Track and drive performance against key KPIs:
- TAT adherence
- On-Time Delivery
- WIP / backlog health
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve flow, reduce TAT, and optimize capacity.
- Maintain accurate planning master data (routings, cycle times, capacities).
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain within an aerospace, MRO, or complex manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining production schedules to support customer delivery requirements and operational priorities.
- Working knowledge of capacity planning, resource balancing, WIP management, and production flow principles.
- Ability to analyze production constraints, identify schedule risks, and support recovery actions with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) to support planning, scheduling, and material availability.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, routings, work orders, and production control concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities, track performance metrics, and communicate schedule status.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation: $75,000 - $92,000
