Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Spare Parts Inventory Specialist to join our maintenance department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in organizing and managing the spare parts inventory for our machine maintenance operations. This will involve categorizing parts, accurately recording part numbers and descriptions, and entering data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role requires someone with a general knowledge of machine parts and previous experience with inventory management systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize Spare Parts: Categorize spare parts into logical and easily accessible groups, ensuring that parts are stored and labeled correctly for efficient retrieval.
  • Record Part Information: Identify and document part numbers, descriptions, and other relevant details of each spare part. Ensure that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Data Entry into CMMS: Enter all relevant spare parts data (including part numbers, descriptions, and quantities) into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Inventory Audits: Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring that inventory discrepancies are resolved.
  • Work Closely with Maintenance Teams: Collaborate with maintenance personnel to identify critical spare parts and ensure timely restocking of high-demand items.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Ensure that all records are properly maintained, minimizing errors and discrepancies in the system.
  • Provide Reports: Generate and maintain reports on inventory levels, part usage, and stock trends for the maintenance team and management.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of working experience in inventory management, parts organization, or a related field, ideally within a machine maintenance environment.
  • 1+ years of working experience in data entry on inventory management systems within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GKN Experience
  • Technical Knowledge: General understanding of machine parts, components, and equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with CMMS software, inventory management systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy when entering part information and organizing inventory.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and suppliers.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with inventory management (e.g., shelving, labeling).

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $27.00 - $29.00.
