Job Summary

GKN Aerospace Engines is looking for a Financial Analyst to support its global Integrated Supply Chain (Procurement, Manufacturing Performance, Footprint Productivity, Inventory and Operations Planning) organization.  

The Financial Analyst will provide support to the VP Finance Supply Chain/Manufacturing Engines. He/she will help develop tools and processes to support and drive constant process improvement in the Engines global operations finance organization, and provide ongoing financial data and analysis in support of the Engines business operation.

The Financial Analyst will extract and collate data to help develop financial insights in support of business decision-making, financial forecasting, and business planning.  He/she will coordinate and drive reporting and forecasting processes across the Engines business by working closely with the site finance organizations.

Job Responsibilities

•    Support development of process standardization across the sites and develop tools and templates to automate the extraction and collation of financial data.
•    Ensure inputs are received to business review and financial planning and forecasting cycles (on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycles) and provide associated financial data and analysis as required
•    Develop and collate financial data including breakdown of variances breakdown necessary for standard analysis (Over/Under Absorption, Variances, Inventory, cash flow etc.).
•    Report on financial performance and prepare for leadership reviews.
•    Adhere to all financial governance requirements and support internal and external audits as required.
•    Collate Procurement/MatEx saving and track Savings as they hit the P&L.  
•    Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to track the Component & Value Engineering projects savings. 
•    Capture Productivity actions (OpEx) and plan. Support tracking of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) initiatives especially on Scrap & Warranty
•    Contribute to ad-hoc requests as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    3+ years of finance/accounting related experience
•    Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented.
•    Understanding of managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, pricing, business analytics and reporting.
•    Exceptional analytical skill and attention to detail.
•    Good understanding of the Aerospace industry.
•    Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
•    GKN experience preferred.
