Job Summary
A brand new opportunity has been created within the Quality Assurance Department of our thriving facilities in East Cowes.
Reporting into the Site Quality Manager, the Quality Systems Specialist will be the Business Partner and Subject Matter Expert to the site process owners and managers and leadership in the use of TipQA software. Assuring and improving the integrity and accuracy of the combined databases whilst working with the systems users to improve functionality
Job Responsibilities
Full job description available upon request, however main responsibilitues will include:
- Be the Company point of contact with the TipQA software suppliers. – GKN IT and Deltek.
- Project Management of the TipQA software updates, as released by the supplier company. (including testing, incorporation and re-training as required)
- The Project Management of the incorporation of future versions of TipQA software system (i.e. web based version) and their implementation across the Cowes manufacturing programs.
- The initial assessment and project management for the introduction of an electronic work card capability. (TipQA or suitable software alternative)
- Contribute to the identification and assessment of proposed new/revised software for the site as part of the IT steering Committee.
- General Management and maintenance of the TipQA software and database records.
- Ensure that all necessary personnel are kept informed of changes to the TipQa software and data (with particular emphasis on the QE, ME, CME, QCE & IPT personnel).
- Continually monitor the TipQA software for overdue actions, working with the responsible persons to enable actions to be completed on time.
- The provision of reports from the TipQa software data as identified within the company.
- The general “cleansing” of TipQA software data to ensure data integrity and that records are fully populated and closed in a timely manner.
Job Qualifications
Experience
- Experience in a volume manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
- Experience in TipQa or other similar QMS software systems.
- Experience of working in Quality Management Systems in an administrator role.
- Experience in the use of quality tools and continuous improvement techniques.
Skills
- Good people skills.
- Strong communicator (written, verbal and presentation).
- Good organisational and follow-up skills.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills.
- Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making.
- Commercially aware.
Qualifications
- Relevant IT/software training or software related apprenticeship or recognised Software Systems qualifications
- Suitable previous experience in a similar role with a similar sized organisation.
Manufacturing/Engineering Quality systems knowledge is preferred
