Sitting across our three business lines; Civil, Defence and Engines at our East Cowes manufacturing plants you’ll do just that. Established in 1901, one of our older production sites with a workforce of circa 800 employees. Our East Cowes plants, Isle of Wight are where we design, manufacture, test and repair high performance structures and systems. We have two facilities on the Island; Falcon Yard, Ferry Road and Osborne Site, Saunders Way. Both locations employ the company’s distinct competencies in major assemblies and composite structures for the global aerospace market. Our customer base includes Airbus, Astronics, BAE Systems, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna, Cobham, Honeywell, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce and Triumph.

Job Summary


Reporting into the Procurement Operations Manager, the Procurement Programme Support Officer will be based out of our Osborne site in East Cowes, Isle of Wight with the opportunity for hybrid working. Sitting within our Procurement department, this position will execute and deliver Procurement Projects across the Defence Business Line (e.g. New work bid activity, Work Transfers, New Product Introduction) and interface with the Site Procurement Projects teams to coordinate project activities linked with the Business Line/Programme. The Procurement Programme Support Officer will coordinate between the Global Commodity team, site Procurement team and the Business Line management team to ensure robust sourcing strategy for the Business Line/Programme. The successful incumbent will also develop and own strategies to achieve Business Line Procurement/Programme cost challenges, coordinating with the Commodities team to drive initiatives. 

Job Responsibilities


  • Accountable for the on-time delivery of all Procurement projects linked with the Business Line/Programme
  • Management of supplier delivery for parts sourced as modifications, transfers or new products until FAI is achieved.
  • Responsible for developing and supporting site cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans in-line with business requirements.
  • Responsible for all PO demands placed upon suppliers to ensure that Key Objectives of cost, quality and delivery are secured

How You'll Contribute


To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:



  • Demonstrable experience in Procurement, Commercial or a Supply Chain Management role
  • A track record of leadership working with cross functional teams or proven leadership within a project


  • Proven track record of delivery of multi-functional projects
  • A Project Management qualification
  • Experience with Project Management IT packages e.g. MS Project
  • Previous experience with an MRP
  • Italien speaking
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a Business, Engineering, or Science discipline
  • Negotiation and contract negotiation experience
