Job Summary

Due to an exciting period of significant growth and investment, we are now seeking a suitably experienced Facilities Project Engineer to join the team here in our East Cowes facilities on a 12 month fixed-term basis, to support the installation of a significant new piece of manufacturing machinery.
Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilites of a Facilities Projects Engineer will typically include:
- Work in collaboration with business partners to capture their workspace and facilities (building) requirements.
- Plan, design and oversee the configuration, reconfiguration and alteration of equipment and machinery.
- Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, and required completion date and construction feasibility.
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Prepares bid sheets and, in collaboration with Procurement, contracts for construction and facilities acquisitions.
- Review and estimate design cost including equipment, installation, labour, materials, preparation, and other related costs
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential
- Project/programme management experience/qualification
- Significant construction and/or mechanical/electrical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable
- Able to plan and estimate construction projects.
- Understanding of building standards and able to read engineering drawings
- Demonstrable previous facility engineering experience
- Professional qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience working with a Lean Operating Model/Production System.
