Due to an exciting period of significant growth and investment, we are now seeking a suitably experienced Facilities Project Engineer to join the team here in our East Cowes facilities on a 12 month fixed-term basis, to support the installation of a significant new piece of manufacturing machinery. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Job responsibilites of a Facilities Projects Engineer will typically include:

 

  • Work in collaboration with business partners to capture their workspace and facilities (building) requirements.
  • Plan, design and oversee the configuration, reconfiguration and alteration of equipment and machinery.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, and required completion date and construction feasibility.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and, in collaboration with Procurement, contracts for construction and facilities acquisitions.
  • Review and estimate design cost including equipment, installation, labour, materials, preparation, and other related costs

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

 

Essential

  • Project/programme management experience/qualification
  • Significant construction and/or mechanical/electrical experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable

  • Able to plan and estimate construction projects.
  • Understanding of building standards and able to read engineering drawings
  • Demonstrable previous facility engineering experience
  • Professional qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with a Lean Operating Model/Production System.
