Job Summary

Provide Supply Quality Manager support, by developing and maintaining supplier quality through the use of processes, systems and metrics. Evaluating each supplier from a compliance to the requirements perspective utilizing audits checklist. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Review as required all FAI / Delta FAI prior to submission.
  • Have frequent contact with supplier to monitor actions within Quality
  • Analyze suppliers’ quality performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Handle supplier non-conformance including root cause and corrective action, in order to be up-to date with the supplier performance
  • Facilitate 8D investigations within the supply base for all supplier escapes.
  • Review defect (non-conformances) data provided by suppliers’ prior to product release.
  • Participate in supplier work transfer evaluation and monitoring.
  • Calibrate with engineering counterparts manufacturing best practices communicated to suppliers.
  • Support in supplier feedback.
  • Communicate with receiving inspection in support of product requirements, product acceptance and release. 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or related technical fields; Will consider combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment including implementation of supplier and internal quality systems.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer in an ISO 9000 and/or AS91000 manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified in SPC, SMEA, DSM, GFA and lean manufacturing.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Must possess executive-level presentation skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
  • May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 25 pounds of office supplies and materials
