Job Summary

As Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team of professionals in delivering operational performance, using SCM standard business processes and strategies along with procurement best practices. The scope includes Planning & Scheduling (SIOP, MPS, SFS), Logistics (Freight, Warehousing, Inbound/Outbound, etc.), Procurement Management, contract negotiations and associated performance metrics (i.e. Delivery, MSA, Logistics costs, DIO, PPV, Cost Reduction, quality, etc.) The Supply Chain manager owns the deployment and continuous improvement of Supply Chain Management and procurement standard processes. As a member of the site leadership team, the Supply Chain Manager is a conductor of planning and logistics to ensure adherence to management process and alignment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing a safe working environment for SCM Procurement employees and for all employees in the logistic areas (receiving, warehousing, material handling and shipping)
  • Accountable for the management of the SCM team (leadership, target setting, performance review, talent management, organizational planning, recruiting/on-boarding, training and development…)
  • Execute the Global Supply Chain Management Strategy
  • Deploy, manage, monitor and improve planning processes (SIOP, MPS) within the site
  • Responsible for the site Operations Supply Planning activities (SIOP) facilitate the site Operations Supply Review (SIOP).
  • Orchestrate the connections between Program teams and Site team in relation to Daily execution, weekly MPS process and Monthly SIOP process (including Integrated Reconciliation at the lowest possible level)
  • Procure/Schedule parts, materials, tools, etc. to site/program schedule and business schedules in line with business targets.
  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related delivery activities and authority to commit company resources through alignment of central contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a high quality, reliable source of supplies, services and information.
  • Responsible for the site inventory strategy and performance (DIO).
  • Responsible for uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency, and accountability of the organization’s official master data in the local ERP and systems
  • Responsible for the monitoring, review, analysis of SCM metrics
  • Accountable for logistics activities (freight, warehousing, internal movements, inbound/outbound logistics…etc…) and the associated costs.
  • Accountable for the total cost of the SCM function (headcount, budgets…)
  • Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring that staff are aware of the policies and their individual responsibilities and accountabilities: import/export control regulations; compliance and ethics policy including international regulations (eg ITAR, EAR).
  • Develop a highly motivated, well-trained staff capable of meeting the short and long term staffing requirements of the department and Company.
  • Contributing to the Plant strategy, and ensuring its execution across their assigned areas.
  • Contributing to the Procurement Commodity and Program strategy, and ensuring its implementation and execution across the site.
  • Negotiating and/or overseeing the negotiation of local contracts in line with the global policy (local contracts under the threshold set by global commodity team).
  • Ensuring the disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardized work through the conscientious adherence to Leadership Standard Work.
  • Manage implementation of contracts within sites, including necessary product transitions.
  • Responsible for realizing Operational targets: supplier delivery performance; supplier quality performance; raw material inventory performance; invoice management performance; organize Operational reviews with Stakeholders (eg. KPI's, targets, compliance). 
  • Responsible for active Supply Chain risk management.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field of study; Will consider combination of 8 years professional experience supply chain management and/or logistics.
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing environment or equivalent manufacturing industries (i.e. Medical, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Automotive, etc..) 
  • 3 years recent professional experience in management role.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirement. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and associated technological and commercial trends highly preferred.
  • Management and/or supervisory experience in supply chain/procurement highly preferred.
  • Core competences: Analytical ability, Decisiveness, Customer focus, Consciousness of the environment, Organization sensitivity, Planning and organization, Focus on results.
  • A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop a performance excellence organization.
  • A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing tools.
  • Professional curriculum and certification (e.g. APICS CPIM or equivalent)
  • Prior working knowledge and experience with SAP ERP systems.
  • Expert in the operational execution of the following disciplines: Scheduling and Execution, Master Data Management, Internal Flows and Warehousing, SIOP/MPS/MRP, Inventory Management, Performance Monitoring.
