Job Summary

Aerospace Quality requirements. Under the supervision of the Quality Engineering personnel, the student will develop a living document to assist various departments in their operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviewing Blue Print requirements, Supplier Purchase Orders, Bill of Materials, and GKN Quality Management System documents (QWIs/QSPs) to compile a single comprehensive document that consolidates all pertinent information
  • Interface with other internal organizations such as Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing
  • Root Cause/Corrective action
  • Internal document auditing
  • Records archiving

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Must be a currently enrolled Junior or Senior majoring in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Processing Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Desirable:

  • Enrolled in Quality Engineering certificate program is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory Environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Aerospace experience preferred, but not required.

    Physical requirements or other local role requirements

    • Specific Vision abilities required; including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus with a specific requirement for corrected vision at 20/25 or better.
    • Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facility and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
    • Prolonged sitting and terminal use, and have the ability to move around a manufacturing environment.
    • Employee must lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., using proper lifting technique
