Job Summary

Skilled Production Mechanic/Millwright to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment used in production processes. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. You will work closely with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform routine inspections, and implement preventive maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with various tools and machinery, and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals. Safety awareness and adherence to industry standards are essential. Job Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machinery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist in equipment upgrades and installations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and improve or eliminate issues.
  • Assist with the installation and production readiness of manufacturing equipment coming on line.
  • Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maintenance Connections) to effectively track maintenance in an organized manner.
  • Understand and follow all relevant regulatory agency requirements.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Trade school etc.

Formal Qualifications

  • MUST BE A U.S Citizen.
  •  Proven experience as a mechanic or millwright in a production environment.
  •  Strong mechanical and technical skills.
  •  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  •  Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  •  Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  •  Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  •  Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  •  Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Must meet the following physical requirements:

 

  1. Ability to climb extension ladders.
  2. Ability to consistently lift 45lbs from a floor or table position to chest height using proper lifting technique.
  3. Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet and/or walking.
