ME Intern

Job Summary

Engineering Intern students at GKN Cromwell are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the engineering staff, the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing production and/or Research/Development programs. 

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation and modification of manufacturing/engineering documents
• Observation of processes and technical data generation and analysis
• Support of component and full-scale test activities
• Interface with other internal organizations such as manufacturing, product support and purchasing, as well as suppliers.

Job Qualifications

• MUST BE U.S CITIZEN. 
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
• Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
• Strong computer skills desired.
• Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility
• Shows pride in work performed
• Demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules
• Maintains professional behavior and appearance

Physical Requirements

• Specific Vision abilities required; including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus with a specific requirement for corrected vision at 20/25 or better.
• Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facility and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
• Prolonged sitting and terminal use, and have the ability to move around a manufacturing environment.
• Employee must lift and/or move up to 45 lbs., using proper lifting technique
