Job Summary

 Develop a Demand Plan which will capture, create, and manage best customer demand signals.  This will give an agreed & aligned view of demand that is used to plan and align key business resources through SIOP and MPS. Demand Planning is key to Supply Chain Planning activities and is owned by the Commercial/Sales/Program functions.

Job Responsibilities

 

What You'll Do:

• Orchestrate demand planning process to deliver a Demand Plan that is free of bias from functional and personal interests
• Use and maintain current demand-planning systems to create the best Demand Plan using established data collection processes and statistical forecasting as needed.
• Make recommendations to enhance business processes, identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.
• In line with the monthly business process, interact with sales, accounts, program lead, customer service… to collect data / information for review and consolidation.
• Ensure demand forecast is shared/received in the format, level of detail, and timing required by all (process) customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions.
• Work with stakeholders generate a signed-off consensus Demand Plan.
• Assist in development of budget and communicate any gaps between the budget and Demand Plan on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and facilitate Demand Review meetings; Present Demand Plan and communicate risks and opportunities.
• Measure, analyze, and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators

 

Required Experience
• An associates or undergraduate degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, mathematics or a related field
• 5+ years of demand planning experience
• U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

 

Additional Experience
• CPF Certified Professional Forecaster (IBF) or S&OP Certification
• APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM) or equivalent certification
• Expert level for Forecasting & Demand Planning, SIOP/MPS/MRP, Scheduling and Execution, Master Data Management , End to end visibility and data exchange, Industry & Product acumen, Leveraging IT solutions, Lean mindset & business excellence+ include “soft skills” from leadership framework
• GKN experience preferred
