Job Summary

As SAP Basis\Security Administrator you are responsible for the administration of the SAP environment including installations, updates\upgrades, maintenance and security. The SAP Basis\Security Administrator is executing daily operational activities like configuration, transports, SAP monitoring, Database\Storage management, troubleshooting, error handling, performance tuning, backups, applying Support Packages, installation of add-on software components, SAP Security including creating SAP roles and problem determination\resolution. This role will contribute towards system landscape strategy, including design and realization of solutions such as high availability, disaster recovery, state of the art proactive monitoring and error handling. The position requires the individual to be part of the SAP core team. Working alongside the SAP core team members and business partners you will lead and participate in continuous improvement projects in line with company objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Manage SAP environment

  • Installation, upgrade, backup and maintenance of the SAP system Including Midas and Job clocking
  • Security Role creation and modification in SAP and Midas
  • Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment
  • Key interface for AMS
  • scheduling and executing the SAP transport system
  • Support the design of interfaces between SAP and external systems


SAP Core team

  • Attend weekly Core team meetings
  • Ensure the business is aware of the latest capabilities
  • Drive standard application best practices
  • Manage and participate in SAP projects (local\global)
  • Ensure the proper process is followed for system changes
  • Ensure & Validate IT compliance for SAP system
  • Training focal point for SAP team



  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending applicable workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Train IT staff on administrative functions
  • Undertake and complete related improvement projects as assigned including the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and customers.
  • Completes Key Job Requirements and other tasks related to this position as assigned by cognizant manager.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required. Equivalent experience 5+ years experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years’ experience with SAP and Basis\Security administration
  • 3+ years’ experience with IT systems: System Design, Infrastructure, System Documentation, System Testing
  • 3+ years’ experience with HANA Databases
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

  • Strong writing and communication skills are required
  • Demonstrate a competency in Analyzing Information , Problem Solving and an Attention to Detail
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative, including performance of duties exercising independent judgement.
  • Must be an independent team contributor and work effectively in a team environment – to effectively listen, challenge and communicate.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
