Job Summary

GKN Aerospace has just unveiled a major 80,000 sq ft expansion at our Chihuahua, Mexico site, doubling our capacity and unlocking new capabilities in composite aerostructures and electrical wiring interconnection systems. Backed by a multi-million USD investment, this milestone is set to create over 200 new jobs and further position Chihuahua as a key hub in the global aerospace industry.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you won’t just be filling roles—you’ll be shaping the future of our workforce, helping us attract and hire the talent that will power this next chapter of innovation and growth.

How You'll Contribute

  • Deliver the very best candidate and stakeholder experience throughout the recruitment journey as a brand advocate 
  • Build strong partnerships with onsite stakeholders and HR 
  • Support with implementing global recruitment process 
  • Drive pace, efficiency and consistency throughout the recruitment journey to impact time to hire 
  • Conduct vacancy launch calls with Hiring Managers to aid the accurate and very best attraction of talent in the market place and to advise on best attraction and selection methods
  • Create compelling job advertisements in line with brand guidelines and vacancy launch specification 
  • Use attraction methodologies to conduct sourcing activities to support direct sourcing strategy 
  • Screen and schedule interviews delivering an inclusive and diverse candidate pool 
  • Build talent pools to support future recruitment activity 
  • Use Success Factors ATS to manage the recruitment of allocated vacancy activity 
  • Work with agencies when required, facilitating briefing calls and agency portal management
  • Co-ordinate the offer process for successful candidates 
  • Take part in weekly update calls to ensure alignment of vacancy activity and future requirements 
  • Support others with queries when required 
  • Support with key projects within the Talent Acquisition space 
     

What You'll Bring

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

 

Essential:

  • Proven background in an in-house Talent Acquisition role
  • Strong track record recruiting both high-volume and specialist vacancies
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools
  • Demonstrated ownership of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from briefing through to offer, for a defined business area or function
  • Ability to craft creative, compelling job advertisements aligned with brand guidelines
  • Skilled in direct sourcing and innovative attraction strategies to identify top talent
  • Success hiring across technical and engineering roles, spanning both blue- and white-collar positions across multiple business areas
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Bristol on a bi-weekly basis
  • Proficient in english both written & verbal 

 

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors, supporting the recruitment process from requisition approval through to offer stage
  • Comfortable operating within a complex, matrixed organisation
  • Background in recruiting within the aerospace industry

 

Alongside the above, you’ll be a proactive and confident recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. With innovation at the heart of what we do, you’ll bring fresh ideas to help tackle local skills gaps and enhance our attraction strategies in Chihuahua, Mexico.

You’ll bring a broad background, with a track record of recruiting across multiple role types and levels—managing both high-volume hiring and standalone, specialist vacancies. The ideal candidate will be based in Chihuahua or within a commutable distance.
