Job Summary

The site finance lead is the key manager for all site level financial matters. They are a key business partner to the site leader and report to the regional finance manager.
The role has primary day-to-day responsibility for the integrity of financial data on site. This encompasses robust transactional processing, local management judgement, governance and reporting as well as the ownership of systems enabling the planning,  control and reporting of financial results for both management and statutory purposes including overall P&L, balance sheet and cash accountability for the site and the allocation of these to the relevant business line, global function or operation. They are also the key partner for financial legal entity matters.

• Ensuring management team has a strong understanding of their impact on critical financial performance measures
• Supporting the overall objectives of Finance within GKN Aerospace.
• Work closely with the site lead and operations & business lines finance to deliver and offer insight into site financial performance, budget and strategy, and ensure that costs amd results are controlled and reported  appropriately
• Develop and maintain a system of costing and reporting required to support management and statutiry requirements.
• Manage capital appropriations to ensure that capital expenditures are budgeted, properly authorized, spend is controlled and to confirm value delivered from projects.
• Ensure that financial systems, controls, delegated authorities and reporting throughout the site comply with all national rules and regulations and comply with GKN policies and procedures.
• In conjunction with GKN tax, ensure full compliance with all tax and duty regimes.
• To own the site Enterprise Risk Management Process and to co-ordinate action on the management team to mitigate enterprise risks.
• To support compliance with regulations particularly relevant in a defence related business including but not limited to export control, ITAR, DFARS and Anti Bribery and Corruption legislation.
• Ensure that the on site finance team has the appropriate calibre of staff and that development plans are in place to ensure peoples’ potential is maximized. To ensure recruitment and promotion take account of GKN’s diversity policies.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • LCP, LAF, LAE, or related degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (Maquiladora is a plus).
  • Fleunt in English 
  • Abiliy to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented.
  • Budget control.
  • Cost and Cash Flow Analysis.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in building and developing effective team
  • Strong in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, pricing, business analytics and reporting;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Forward-thinking and takes a global view regarding the business;
  • Connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrates emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly, collaboratively and persuasively;
  • Recognised accounting qualification plus 3+ years PQE
  • Clear understanding of relevant technical accounting framework
  • Good understanding of the Aerospace industry

  • Experience of GKN's Aerospace business
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience of local ERP system
  • Experience of working within a matrix organisation
