Job Summary
Experience
At least 3 years in similar position.
Knowledge of aerospace production processes, rules and quality procedures.
Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9000, APQP per AS9145, First article inspection per AS9102.
Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Demonstrated skills in problem solving methods (8D/5W/Ishikawa/Is-Is not/6 sigma/etc.)
Proficient with APQP elements ( PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA etc.)
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Strong working knowledge of aircraft structures and failure modes.
Familiar with repair practices used in the aerospace industry.
Hands on experience with harness assembly (desirable)
Job Responsibilities
- Analysis, evaluation and implementation of all program quality aspects.
- Support RCCA given of non-conformities of the process and audits.
- Audit the system to meet the requirements of the AS9100 standard.
- Organize and host roles with customer audits/surveys.
- Communicate effectivity dispositions of non-conformances to production department and following up of RCCA.
- Support customer complaints / NoE.
- Customer point of contact for quality.
- Identifying and Sharing “Best Practices” across the site and supporting continual improvements of the site QMS.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role (industry-specific experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, SPC, Control Plans)
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, depending on industry)
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with teams
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles (certification is a plus)
- Experience with audits (internal, external, or supplier audits) is preferred
- English proficiency (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
