Job Summary

The Site Procurement Manager is responsible for execution of the delivery and quality performance of the Purchase to Pay operational processes for his / her site.

The Site Procurement Manager is responsible for execution within the boundaries of the contracts set up by the Global Commodity teams and the released standardized Means & Methods.

Is responsible that contracts and released Means & Methods will be implemented and correctly used within his / her site.

The Site Procurement Manager is responsible for contribution of continuous improvement within Supplier Performance Management based on Procurement performance indicators. First line escalation will be managed by The Site Procurement Manager.

The Site Procurement Manager leads and develops the team within his / her site.

The Site Procurement Manager reports Functionally to the Director Operational Regional Procurement and Operationally to the Site Manager / Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • A key member and contributor to the Site Leadership Team.

  • Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring that staff are aware of the policies and their individual responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Import and Export Control Regulations.
  • Compliance and Ethics Policy on Contracting with the international Regulations all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the international Regulations (eg ITAR, EAR).
  • Leading and developing their teams in the delivery of People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash and Cost (PSQDCC) targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments.
  • Procure/Schedule parts, materials, tools, etc. to site/program schedule and business schedules in line with business targets.
  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related delivery activities and authority to commit company resources through alignment of central contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a high quality, reliable source of supplies, services and information.
  • Develop a highly motivated, well-trained staff capable of meeting the short and long term staffing requirements of the department and Company.
  • Contributing to the Plant strategy and ensuring its execution across their assigned areas
  • Contributing to the Procurement Commodity and Programme strategy, and ensuring its implementation and execution across the site.
  • Ensuring the disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardised work through the conscientious adherence to Leadership Standard Work
  • Complying with all legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring that staff are aware of the policies and their individual responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Import and Export Control Regulations
  • Compliance and Ethics Policy on Contracting with the local regulations all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the local regulations.
  • Manage implementation of contracts within sites, including necessary transfers of work / products.
  • Responsible for realizing Operational targets:
  • Supplier delivery performance
  • Supplier quality performance
  • Raw material inventory performance
  • Invoice management performance
  • Organize Operational reviews with Stakeholders (eg. KPI's, targets, compliance)
  • Responsible for active Supply Chain risk management.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BSc degree, or equivalent in a Business, Engineering, or Science discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant business experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement SCM or Production Management
  • Previous and significant experience with an international supply base
  • A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GKN Aerospace Experience
  • A demonstrated ability to develop a performance excellence organisation
  • A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams
  • Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and associated technological and commercial trends
  • Core competences: Analytical ability, Decisiveness, Customer focus, Consciousness of the environment, Organisation sensitivity, Planning and organisation, Focus on results
