Job Summary
Under the general direction of a Controller, the Senior Accountant will perform accounting activities to ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate policies and external auditors. The Senior Accountant will have an active role in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, monthly closing, journal entries and account analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform the monthly and annual accounting close.
- Prepare, review, and analyze Balance Sheet and other financial statements.
- Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations and follow up on open items.
- Follow-up on AP open items.
- Provide internal control procedures and ensure compliance with financial governance requirements.
- Manage investments, projects, and fixed assets, including additions, disposals, capitalization, and depreciation.
- Support and assist during internal and external audits.
- Conduct financial and cost analysis to support strategic management decisions.
- Monitor and report financial and operational KPIs.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- LCP, LAF, LAE or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (Maquiladora is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US-GAAP.
- Intermediate-advance Excel skills and experience working with ERP Systems. (OneStream is a plus).
- Fluent in English
