Job Summary

Support operational and development programs to deliver industrialization solutions using advanced engineering, lean, and problem-solving skills. Responsible for delivering robust, capable, and balanced industrialization process solutions across the entire value chain.

Job Responsibilities

  • Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure compliance with GKN Aerospace’s health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
  • Responsible for industrial engineering support in manufacturing development and integration for production.
  • Responsible for implementing industrial design solutions, from original concept through to production.
  • Design these processes by implementing lean tools and methods in accordance with GKN’s standard lean toolkit.
  • Use root cause analysis, as well as preventive and corrective actions, to reduce/eliminate waste in the business.
  • Responsible for providing input to new product quotations and manufacturing system change proposals.
  • Manage industrialization projects, leading internal and external resources (suppliers). Deliver measurable, metrics-based results aligned with operational and program objectives.
  • Maintain positive team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as coworkers.
  • Continuously improve production processes through the implementation of Lean initiatives.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level: Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial).
  • Experience in managing the introduction of new products/processes (industrialization) and improvements to existing production processes. Project/program management experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Ability to influence others, build trust, and establish effective working relationships within a global organization.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of LEAN processes and practices.
  • Practical knowledge of quality system models such as ISO 9000 and AS9100.
  • Knowledge of ISO certifications (14001, 50001, 45001).
  • Extensive experience in LEAN manufacturing process development.
