Job Summary

At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.

 

We are currently hiring for 2 graduates to join our supply chain teams on an inital 2 year fixed term contract, with potential for a permanent contract based on performance. This will give you hand-on experience within a fast paced supply chain environment., with ongoing training, development, mentorship, and career progression opportunities. Through this graduate opportunity you will work in four 6-month rotations across the supply chain business function. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about supply chain, logistics, data, and continuous improvement, giving you the chance to make a real difference to make a meaningful impact on key business operations.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Supply Chain & Scheduling Graduate, you will:

  • Support daily production scheduling to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Analyse supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and capacity management.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to resolve supply issues.
  • Maintain accurate data in planning systems and support reporting activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to supplier performance reviews and KPI tracking.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Degree qualified - Preferred is Supply Chain Management & Procurement, although we are looking for anything relevant (ie; Engineering Management, Business Management etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Excel or other data/analytics tools (advantageous).
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and develop within the role.

Desirable

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a relevant role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
