Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Site Planning Manager with a strong track record in supply chain planning. You’ll lead planning strategy using MRP II methodologies to achieve critical business targets. This includes managing Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), capacity planning, resource deployment, and performance measurement.
This is a site-based role at our Filton location
How You'll Contribute
The site Planning Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Lead and manage a team of 6 Master Schedulers
• Ensure the site has the right manpower, equipment, and sourcing solutions to meet workload commitments
• Improve customer demand management for consistent delivery across internal and external supply chains
• Drive process improvements and eliminate waste in planning procedures
• Guarantee lead times and repeatable delivery performance
• Ensure all work uses formal systems and robust schedules
• Respond to requests for scenario planning and new product introduction
• Set high standards for leadership, integrity, and performance management
• Apply lean principles, tools, and techniques across all processes
• Resolve root causes of planning-related issues
• Take full accountability for Inventory & Operations Planning, including inventory, demand management, and logistics
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and housekeeping standards
• Champion Export Control compliance, ensuring adherence to the site’s Technology Control Plan
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Proven experience in supply chain planning
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Expertise in capacity planning, inventory, and operations planning
- Understanding of manufacturing and finance systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- APICS CPIM certification (Production & Inventory Management)
- Relevant Production Control qualification
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Understanding of financial control systems
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Core competencies: Communication, Drive, Innovation, Problem-solving, Customer Focus
