The Opportunity

Based at our Filton site, our new Programme Support Officer will join our Integrated Programme Team (IPT) to support our F-35 programme of work. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for the administration and activities associated with control and monitoring of project progress specifically for the F-35 programme; this includes governance reviews, managing change boards and controlling the scope, cost and resource management within the programme. 

The IPT is a multidisciplinary group of people who work collaboratively to deliver projects and programmes across our business. They work on a range of manufacturing projects for customers such as Lockheed Martin (for whom the F-35 is a key project), Airbus, Dassault, BAE and build successful programmes, identify and resolve issues, and make sound and timely recommendations to facilitate decision-making.

How You'll Contribute

You will be an integral part of the IPT, and will contribute by:

•    Compiling and following up work breakdown structure (WBS), organization breakdown structure (OBS), and cost breakdown structure (CBS) schedules/ plans for the programme. 
•    Controlling and monitoring on progress, scope, costs and resource management and allocation for the programme. 
•    Based on analysis, initiating of improvements/ recoveries on on-time delivery (OTD) and quality (Q) from Customer Scorecards / delivery schedule adherence (DSA) / Q etc in close collaboration with the responsible disciplines.
•    Preparing and maintaining the customer outlook for budgeting purposes.
•    Preparing the demand for operations, including required performance measures and preparing the handshake agreements with the performance site.
•    Supporting Risk and Opportunity Management activities and managing the risk register to control and mitigate the risk exposure.
•    Establishing and controlling robust document management in the IPT and towards/ from the customer.
•    Support creation, coordination and delivery of (change) proposals to customer requests.
•    Preparing and analyzing the Programme Performance Summary (PPS), and initiating actions in case of deviations.

Essential

  • Good standard of general education, preferably degree level
  • Prior experience in a Project Support role
  • Experience in a busy, administrative role working with a range of stakeholders which sees you managing conflicting demands
  • Good command of the Microsoft office suite. 

Desirable

  • SAP interrogation skills
