MES/MOM/MSB CoE IT Specialist (MSB)

Job Summary

As an IT Integration Specialist (MSB), you will act as a skilled and knowledgeable team member whose role is to design, develop and support the AeroConnect Platform. You will work closely with the IT Integration Specialists (ESB) and MES/MOM specialists.

From an ESB perspective the role will focus on the definition and business justification of a Cloud based Integration Platform. Following financial approval proceeds with the design, implementation and support of the Cloud solution. In parallel you will maintain the existing BizTalk V2020 instances until displaced by the Cloud Integration Platform.

From an MSB perspective the role will require the design, development, support and deployment of the AeroConnect Platform to provide connectivity and data analytic solutions for the manufacturing environments. This will focus on the integration of the latest manufacturing technologies both at the production sites and research projects within the Global Technology Centres.
The Integration CoE forms part of the wider IT application teams within the IT organization. You will be a trusted partner to the business in providing Integration applications and solutions in line with the IT operating model, working alongside the IT Business Partners, Project Management Office, IT Security and IT Operations teams.

As an IT Integration Specialist (MSB), at GKN Aerospace in Papendrecht, The Netherlands, you will be deploying at sites in the APAC, EU and NA regions.

Job Responsibilities

Data Integration
•    Develop and implement data integration strategies, ensuring seamless and efficient data flow between various systems and data sources.
•    Use Azure Integration Services and other tools to orchestrate data workflows.

Cloud Data Architecture
•    Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data architecture across both on-premises and cloud environments.
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

Data Modeling
•    Create and optimize data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
•    Implement and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and other data storage solutions, including SQL and Cloud Lake solutions.

Data Security & Compliance
•    Implement and enforce best architectural practices for data security, ensuring compliance with relevant data regulations and standards

Performance Optimization
•    Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and on-premises data solutions, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues

Customer Engagement
•    Become a recognized Subject Matter Expert and representative for the Integration CoE
•    Review business requirements and develop and deploy innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and expectations

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Manufacturing / Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
•    Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
•    Extensive experience in Windows server administration, application management and configuration including IIS, certificates, services, firewall, Powershell.
•    Experience with Kubernetes and managing applications running as Docker Container.
•    Extensive experience in SQL (Postgres, SQL Server) database management and query methods.
•    Good experience with Azure technologies (or wants to learn)
•    Background in developing, designing and implementing complex integration solutions
•    Experience of successful technical deployments of IT projects
•    Experience working within Windows Server environment
•    Knowledge and experience of basic programming languages such as .NET, HTML, C#, XML/XSL/XSD, JAVA script.
•    Experience with Industrial Protocols such as OPC/UA, MQTT, REST, Modbus and supporting tools such as Brokers and Browsers.
•    Working knowledge of IEC-62443 and IACS Security.
•    Working knowledge of Node-RED.
•    Beneficial to have knowledge of ISA95
•    Beneficial to have knowledge of CNC Machines Fanuc / Siemens.
•    Beneficial to have knowledge of PLC’s Siemens.
•    Work effectively within a team environment (listening, challenge and communication)
•    Experience with integration Siemens Opcenter, including Designer Studio, Opcenter Connect MOM, Siemens Insights Hub, or similar experience is a pre.
•    Experience with Mendix integrations is a pre.
•    Experience in supporting and troubleshooting applications, ideally in the field of manufacturing or production.
•    Strong commitment and responsibility to maintain and support production environments.
•    Eagerness to expand current knowledge and learn new skills.
•    Strong verbal and written English communication skills, Dutch would be a plus.
•    Ability to work in multi-cultural environments, team player.
•    Willingness to travel.
